Located in the Wilderness zone in the Eastern part of the Tarangire National Park, near the Silale swamps and away from the busy northern section of the park, Olivers Camp is an exclusive safari destination.
Tarangire is known for its large herds of elephant and baobab trees and displays many of the large African mammals including lion, leopard, African buffalo, and lesser and great kudu. The park also hosts an enormous variety of birds – more than 550 species.
Olivers Camp has only five luxury guest tents to ensure an intimate African experience. Solid wooden furniture, beautiful cloth and practical en-suite facilities are expertly maintained in each of the five sleeping tents. Each tent has its own private verandah overlooking Tarangire’s wilderness zone.
The drinks and library tent offer a relaxing respite after open vehicle or on-foot adventures. Friendly staff all aim to make your visit very personal and a totally new experience for you.
The focal point of the camp each evening is the stone fireplace which is close to the library, sitting and dining tents. From here the views are superb. There is no better forum for relaxed conversation and animated reflection on the Day’s activities, and no safari is complete without such an experience.
